Jaclyn Roxanne Hill (née, Eilers) is an American makeup artist, YouTuber and influencer whose YouTube channel counts almost 5.9 million subscribers. She was born on July 20, 1990, in Mineral, Illinois. She currently lives in Tampa, Florida.

Biography

Before she created her YouTube channel titled „Jaclyn Hill1“ in 2010, she worked as a freelance makeup artist. Jaclyn also worked at a MAC Cosmetics store, but when her channel gained big popularity she quit her job, and YouTube became her main occupation.

Jaclyn` channel consists of makeup tutorials and makeup reviews on all different themes, challenges, celebrity makeup tutorials, and makeup tutorials inspired by celebrities, such as Kim and Kourtney Kardashian and Kylie Jenner.

In collaboration with an Australian cosmetics brand „Becca“, Jaclyn launched her highlighter called „Champagne Pop“. Cosmetics store “Sephora” sold more than 25,000 units of Jaclyn`s highlighter within 20 minutes of its release.

Famous cosmetics brand „Morphe“ named its eyeshadow palette after Jaclyn, and it became a huge success. In 2016, she realized a limited-edition, gem-encrusted makeup brush set, and also a second eye shadow palette under the name „Jaclyn Hill x Morphe“.

One of the most viewed videos on her channel is called „Get ready with me and Kim Kardashian“. Jaclyn posted it on YouTube on July 11, 2017, and as if 2020 it has over 10 million views.

On May 30, 2019, she launched her own cosmetics line named „Jaclyn Hill“, which consists of 20 nude lipsticks. The products sold out within the first day, but customers quickly noticed issues in quality. It turns out that their lipstick either arrived melted or that it broke after a single-use.

At first, she claimed that its impossible that it happened, but later she apologized and explained what were the main problems. It didn’t go well, because her customers lost confidence in her makeup brand.

Makeup brand „Jaclyn Hill“ now sells highlighters, eyeshadow palettes, and makeup brushes.

Jaclyn Hill was born and raised on a small farm in Mineral. She grew up with her father James, mother Robin, older brother Nicholas and older sister Rachel. When Jaclyn was eight years old, James became an evangelist, so the family traveled to India and Honduras to preach Christianity.

She and her brother, and sister were homeschooled during their childhood. Jaclyn attended college in Sarasota where she studied photography. When she realized that she enjoys doing makeup more than taking pictures, she quit school and became a freelance makeup artist.

In August 2009, Jaclyn married a drummer Jon Hill. Almost nine years later, the couple announced their divorce. Hill is now dating a musician Jordan Farnum.
