She graduated from York University with a degree in psychology. Her career was launched by her You Tube channel which came live on October 28, 2010 under the name “Superwoman” even though she dropped the signature name in 2019.
Today, she performs as a standup comedian, event host and as a motivational speaker. Lilly has also published a book: “How to Be a Bawse: A Guide to Conquering Life”, which became a #1 New York Times Seller.
Mrs. Singh is the first person of Indian heritage (as well as openly bisexual) to host a late night show on NBC. Besides her following of 14.8 M subscribers on her main You Tube channel “Lilly Singh”, 2.9 M subscribers on her vlogging channel, she also has a channel on You Tube where she posts her NBC Late night show clips named: “A Little Late With Lilly Singh” with 411 K subscribers. Her Instagram account numbers over 9M followers and her infamous Twitter account with numerous tweets that often get lash backs from the public with 5.7 M followers. She also owns a heavily promoted merch brand under her name.
She is also the creator of “Unicorn Island Productions”, a media production founded in 2018 which emphasizes diverse and female voices. The size of the company is between 11 and 50 employees with headquarters in Los Angeles, California, USA.
