Weylie Hoang is a Chinese American YouTuber, influencer and fashion, beauty and lifestyle guru whose YouTube channel has more than 1.7 million subscribers. She was born on March 2, 1993, in Oakland, California. Weylie and her boyfriend Wah live in Los Angeles.

Hoang uses five cameras, and two vlogging cameras. She uses Canon EOS 70D, Sony a7S II, Canon EOS 5D Mark III, Canon EOS M5, and Sony a7R II camera for making tutorials, makeup and skin routines, product reviews e.t.c. For making vlogs she usually uses Canon PowerShot G7 X Mark II camera and Sony CyberShot RX100 IV camera.

According to the „Socialblade.com“, her main channel earns between $94 and $1.5 a month, and between $1.1K and $18.1K a year. YouTube channel „WahlieTV“ that she runs with her boyfriend earns between $147 and $2.3K a month, and $1.8K and $28.2K a year. Since YouTube isn`t the only source of income, Weyle Hoang`s earnings as of 2019 are about $1.5 million.

Biography

She launched her YouTube channel titled „ilikeweylie“ on September 28, 2007, but she uploaded her first video called „Pink/Orange eyes tutorial“ a year later. Weylie continued making videos of her hair and skincare routines, cosmetics reviews, DIY videos, makeup tutorials, Q&A videos e.t.c.

Since she shared her insecurities, worries, and fears with her followers quite sincerely, she has been gaining more and more subscribers day by day. Weylie shared the most intimate details of her young age, and a lot of girls identified with her.

Throught the first couple of years, she worked with her parents in addition to recording the videos. But over time, her channel grew, so YouTube became her full-time job. In 2020, she has over 1.7 million subscribers on YouTube, 500K followers on Instagram, and other social networks.

In May 2012, Weylie and her boyfriend Wah launched a new YouTube channel called „WahlieTV“. On it, you can see vlogs from their travels and daily life.

Weylie Hoang was born and raised in California. She grew up with two sisters, parents and grandparents. Since her parents worked a lot, Weylie and her sisters spent much time with their grandmother. In one YouTube video, she admitted that she was an introvert kid. She didn’t have many friends and she was bullied at school.

Hoang shared with her followers that her mother was very abusive and that parents fight a lot. That was very stressful for her so she tried to kill her self three times. Luckily, one of the high school professors started talking about suicide and that helped her understand what was happening to her. After that class, she no longer came to the idea of killing herself and began to love herself, people and life, in general.

Weylie attended FIDM (The Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising) in San Francisco and Los Angeles. In September 2017, she bought a house in LA, and she and Wah started living together.
